Investigations are continuing after a teenager was stabbed at a Maryborough shopping centre.

The Chronicle can confirm two teenage girls, who were known to each other, were involved in an altercation about 4.30pm on Sunday at Station Square Shopping Centre on Lennox St.

One of the girls was treated by paramedics for a stab wound to her arm.

She was taken to Maryborough Hospital for treatment.

Another teenage girl was being questioned by police in relation to the alleged stabbing, she said.

The alleged weapon had not been found, the spokeswoman said.
