IT'S not possible to completely flood-proof the Woolworths site, which went under in the January floods.
"We had some engineers assess the site to see whether we could flood-proof the site," Woolworths Queensland operations manager Michael Batycki said.
"You'd have to build a very, very high wall," he said.
"Where we have entrances down the bottom, we have actually got floodgates that will close in the event of a flood to protect the travelator and also stop water from coming in through that end," he said.
"As far as the rest of the store is concerned, if we have another flood like we had in January, yes we will flood again."
