More barge services will run to Fraser Island during Easter

FRASER Island Barges will operate additional vehicle barge services to and from Fraser Island during the Easter period to cope with the expected influx of tourists.

The Fraser Venture runs three daily return services from River Heads to Wanggoolba Creek but during the Easter holiday period the following additional services will run:

Friday, March 29 (Good Friday)

• An extra service will depart River Heads at 5.30am for Wanggoolba Creek
• An extra service will depart Wanggoolba Creek at 6am to River Heads
• An extra service will depart River Heads at 7am for Wanggoolba Creek
• An extra service will depart Wanggoolba Creek at 7.30am to River Heads
• An extra service will depart Wanggoolba Creek at 11am to River Heads

Saturday, March 30 (Easter Saturday)

• An extra service will depart Wanggoolba Creek at 11am to River Heads

Monday, April 01 (Easter Monday)

• An extra service will depart River Heads at 2pm for Wanggoolba Creek

Kingfisher Bay runs six daily return ferry services from River Heads to Kingfisher Bay Resort and additional Easter services will run as follows:

Friday, March 29 (Good Friday)

• An extra service will depart River Heads at 11.30am for Kingfisher Bay Resort.

Saturday, March 30 (Easter Saturday)

• An extra service will depart River Heads at 11.30am for Kingfisher Bay Resort.

Monday, April 01 (Easter Monday)

• An extra service will depart Kingfisher Bay Resort at noon for River Heads.
