RACQ CareFlight Bundaberg's rescue helicopter was tasked to Fraser Island Friday afternoon, to a male that had suffered injuries in a sand boarding accident.
The 23-year-old male from Logan had been sand boarding down dunes on Fraser Island when he rolled at speed and fell and suffered head injuries.
The QAS treated the patient at the scene and transported him to the local airfield where they were met by the medical team of RACQ CareFlight.
He was accessed and stabilised for his injuries and was airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.
