A 20-YEAR-OLD man has been rescued after being caught in a rip in the Eli Creek area on Fraser Island.
Paramedics were called to help the man about 12.30pm on Monday.
It is understood the man had ingested some sea water.
A Queensland Ambulance Services spokesman said the man refused transport from the island.
He was treated by ambulance officers on the scene.
It is understood he returned to his Eli Waters campsite.
