Man airlifted from K'gari after motorbike crash leaves him with serious leg injury
A motorbike rider has been flown to the mainland with a “significant injury” after hitting a log on K’gari.
A midday motorbike ride on K’gari has ended with a man being flown to Hervey Bay hospital.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said just after 12pm, emergency crews responded to reports of a man, aged in his 40s, having struck a log while riding a motorbike.
She said the man had suffered a “significant leg injury” but was in a stable condition when he was flown out.
No other people or vehicles were involved in the incident, the spokeswoman said.
