According to Det Snr Sgt Harbison, the Maryborough Criminal Investigation Bureau Property Crime Team conducted investigations in to the burglary, including door knocks, and identified a person of interest.
“A search warrant was subsequently executed at an address in Slater Street Oakhurst where police located and detained a 36-year old (alleged) offender,” Det Harbison said
“A search of this place located the majority of the stolen property bar items of jewellery including a white gold belcher necklace, gold and emerald earrings, amethyst necklace, white gold and sapphire ring.”
Police also allegedly located small quantities of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.
