Maryborough State High School is celebrating its 140th anniversary this weekend.
The school was founded on September 5, 1881.
In the early history of the school, the girls and boys were separated into Maryborough Girls Grammar School and Maryborough Boys Grammar School.
The girls and boys schools were amalgamated to become co-ed in 1974, forming Maryborough State High.
