How funding for these projects will support hundreds of jobs across Wide Bay

Across Wide Bay, renovations, restorations and more are being carried out in a bid to support more local jobs for the area.
A total of 55 projects spread across the Bundaberg, Fraser Coast, Gympie, South Burnett, North Burnett and Banana areas and worth $45.79 million, will support 850 jobs.
The initiative, under the latest round of Works for Queensland, has allocated $16.46 million for the Fraser Coast region.
For Maryborough and Hervey Bay, new pump tracks are being installed, while Maryborough’s Anzac Park will also receive additional carparking.
Member for Maryborough Bruce Saunders said locally, this initiative would support 359 jobs.
“So far, $55.9 million has been invested, creating 445 jobs through the Works for Queensland projects across the region,” Mr Saunders said.
