TRIBUTES are flooding the Facebook page of popular Hervey Bay musician Bob Carlson who died on Tuesday after a brave battle with motor neurone disease.

TRIBUTES are flooding the Facebook page of popular Hervey Bay musician Bob Carlson who died on Tuesday after a brave battle with motor neurone disease.

Bob lit up the local entertainment scene with his jazz mates and doubled as a flamboyant hairdresser for many years before he was diagnosed with the disease in 2006.

Since then, the Chronicle has published many stories about a man who continued to beat the odds and inspire the community with his unwavering faith and courage. 

He died on Tuesday morning at the Hervey Bay Hospital with his dedicated wife Jan and family by his side.
