A NINE-year-old girl injured in a sand tobogganing incident on Fraser Island has been airlifted to Hervey Bay Hospital.
A spokeswoman for the AGL Action Rescue Helicopter said the incident occurred when the Greenbank girl was tobogganing down the sand dunes and hit the beach below.
She said the girl suffered a mild concussion and was treated by the helicopter's flight doctor and paramedic before being airlifted to hospital in a stable condition.
