The University of the Sunshine Coast has celebrated 50 students graduating from the Fraser Coast campus on Thursday, May 14, taking their total graduations to 40,000.
The event, held at the Brolga Theatre in Maryborough, celebrated the success of students graduating with degrees in science, social work, education, and nursing.
Sarah Leahy received the Medal for Academic Excellence and delivered the official graduate address at the ceremony after completing her four-year Social Work degree with honours.
She is now employed full-time as a social worker with Act for Kids in Maryborough, and provides intensive family support to parents and children affected by, or at risk of, harm.
This graduation is the final ceremony of an Autumn series that spanned across the Sunshine and Fraser Coasts.
