A month ago, Rebecca Hansen was planning a double wedding on her Biggenden property.

Now a double funeral is planned in little over a week’s time after her partner, baker Todd Mooney, and their 10-year-old daughter Kirra were found dead in a shed on the Fenwicks Rd property that had been destroyed by fire.

Their deaths were later found to be suspicious, with 24-year-old Maryborough woman Kristen Leslie Olsen since facing court charged with two counts of murder and one count of arson in relation to the incident.

It has now been revealed a funeral for Mr Mooney and Kirra will be held on January 20, 2023, at Bundaberg’s Des Alan Funerals in the chapel from 9am.

Detectives have charged Kristen Olsen, 24, with two counts of murder and one of arson.

There has been an outpouring of grief from the small and tight-knit Biggenden community in the wake of the tragedy, which happened on December 20, 2022.

Mr Mooney and Ms Hansen owned Biggenden Bakery, while Kirra has been remembered as a “gentle soul” by those who knew her.

This week, Mr Mooney’s sister Lisa-Marree Mooney took to social media to tell people about the double wedding that was planned for the week after Christmas and how that dream had turned into unthinkable heartache.

“No I didn’t get married as we were supposed to do a double wedding and now poor Rebecca has been left with no partner or child,” Ms Mooney wrote.

“My brother was so proud to finally marry the girl of his dreams and the mother of their beloved daughter just 10 years old.”

On Monday night, Ms Mooney told 7 News Brisbane it was a shock to find out about her brother’s death as they were on the way to Queensland from New South Wales for the wedding.

“Instead of a double wedding, we have a double funeral,” she said.

“(He was the) most gorgeous brother in history and I love him to bits and now I’ll never get to see him again.”

Ms Mooney also spoke about her beloved niece.

“Little Kirra she was such a good little kid, her and Todd were perfect.”
