A RESORT worker on Fraser Island has been airlifted by the AGL Action Rescue Helicopter after he struck his head on the prongs of a forklift.
The 57 year old was performing work duties when the incident occurred.
QAS paramedics on Fraser Island transported the man from the resort to the beachfront where the AGL Action Rescue Helicopter had landed.
The helicopter's paramedic treated the man for a serious injury to his head.
The AGL Action Rescue Helicopter airlifted the man to the Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.
