Four drink drivers busted in Hervey Bay, Maryborough

In the space of just 30 hours across the Fraser Coast region, four drink drivers were busted by police. Here’s where they were caught out:

On October 29, officers from Maryborough were doing patrols when they stopped a vehicle on Saltwater Creek Rd, Maryborough about 2.10am.

The driver, a 19-year-old Hervey Bay man, allegedly registered over the legal limit roadside and, as a result, was taken to Maryborough Station where he returned a reading of 0.054.

He has been charged with drink driving and is due to appear in Maryborough Magistrates Court on November 23.

About 2.30am, October 30, a 33-year-old Hervey Bay woman allegedly registered over the legal limit roadside at March St and then returned a reading of 0.099 at Maryborough Station.

She has been charged with drink driving and is due to appear in Maryborough Magistrates Court on November 24.

The same night, officers from Hervey Bay were conducting patrols when they pulled over a car on Aplin St, Pialba about 2.18am for a roadside breath test.

The driver, a 17-year-old Hervey Bay boy, allegedly registered over the legal limit roadside and, as a result, was taken to Hervey Bay Station where he returned a reading of 0.126.

He has been charged with drink driving and is due to appear in Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on November 4.

About 9.30am on October 30, officers from Highway Patrol Maryborough were conducting patrols when they intercepted a vehicle on Boat Harbour Dr, Pialba.

The driver, a 47-year-old Hervey Bay man, allegedly registered over the legal limit roadside and, as a result, was taken to Hervey Bay Station where he returned a reading of 0.074.

He has been charged with drink driving and is due to appear in Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on December 7.
