Fire burns through house in Yerra
Fire crews have returned to the scene of a house fire west of Maryborough to continue dampening down the structure. It is the second home to be destroyed in a blaze in the region in the space of days.

Firefighters have returned to the scene of a blaze that broke out at Yerra on the Fraser Coast on Sunday.
Emergency crews rushed to the collapsing house, which was engulfed by flames on Maryborough Biggenden Rd near the Yerra Rd turn-off.
The fire was called in at 12.45pm on Sunday, October 1, and the fire had torn through the building, completely collapsing the timber house.
Crews contained the fire by 2pm, but were working to contain a grassfire ignited by the flames.
No one was injured.
On Monday, fire crews returned to the scene to continue dampening things down to ensure there weren’t any flare-ups.
The fire occurred after another blaze tore through a home on Maryborough-Hervey Bay Rd at Dundathu on Thursday, September 28.

It took four hours for 13 fire crews to contain that blaze.
