New dates have officially been locked in for the festival which celebrates Maryborough’s connection to all things Mary Poppins.

Dates have now been locked in for the Mary PoppinsFestival, after pandemic concerns led to its cancellation earlier this month.
The festival, which was due to be held from July 1 to July 4 before being postponed, has now been moved to continue on from August 26 until August 29, this year.
Across four days, the events will be held much like the original plans.
The amended outline of the festival is as follows:
Day 1 – Thursday, August 26
- Maryborough Markets, Mary Poppins themed
- Gatakers Artspace admission
- Story Bank and Bond Store ticketed tours
- Maryborough Walking Tour
- MaryAnne train rides
Day 2 – Friday, August 27
- Story Bank and Bond Store ticketed tours
- Gatakers Artspace admission
- ‘Brolga Live’ concerts
Day 3 – Saturday, August 28
- Maryborough Open Gardens displays
- Craft workshops
- interactive performance by Storyteller Gail Robinson
Day 4 – Sunday, August 29
Day in the Park, which will include;
- The Great Nanny Race
- Chimney Sweep Challenge
- Trivia
- Book times
- Interactions with child authors Robyn Osborne and Chris Collins
