THE Tin Can Bay Coast Guard has helped paramedics treat a 56-year-old man who had a seizure while on a fishing trawler on Saturday night.
At 8.30pm, paramedics were called to help the man who had an episode while five hours away from land, off the coast of Fraser Island.
A QAS spokesman said because it was so dark, a helicopter could not be tasked to the scene, so the coast guard was sent out to help.
It is unknown if the man was prone to seizures.
