A $30,000 driveway and staging area at the Burrum Heads SES shed is being deemed a positive result of the council's disaster levy.
The disaster levy of $10.50 per rateable property raises $520,000 which is used to fund the council's disaster management program.
The program includes the operations of the six SES units and installing automatic weather monitoring stations and flood gauges.
