The Fraser Coast Property Industry Association (FCPIA) will hold an annual event where corporate members will come together and discuss the past 12 months.

On Wednesday, July 14 from 4pm, FCPIA will host about 70 corporate members – including those in the Building, Civil, Real Estate and Finance industries – from across the Coast at their yearly general meeting.

A new committee will be elected at the meeting, as members discuss the past 12 months, with the housing crisis a main focus of conversation.

The FCPIA said it will continue to advocate on behalf of the industry, and work with the local council on issues and growth.

Mayor George Seymour has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the FCIPA, which “promotes a strong, transparent and positive framework to attract business investment, and advance good planning and development”.

“The proactive working relationship gives Council valuable feedback about our planning policies and service delivery, providing a platform to grow the economy and create jobs on the Fraser Coast,” Mayor Seymour said.

“It is important to have a constructive relationship with builders and the property industry if we are to address housing and homelessness issues.”
