A BOAT has sunk off Fraser Island this morning.
Queensland police advised they received a call about the striken vessel about 8.30am
It was confirmed the boat overturned near Ngkala Rocks off the northern part of the island.
One man was on board, but he was rescued by another vessel which was nearby at the time.
He was brought back to shore on Fraser Island for medical attention, but the police spokesperson could not confirm the extent of any injuries.
