Boat Harbour Drive Hervey Bay: Three crashes in 28 hours at busy stretch

Three crashes in a matter of hours have caused delays along the same stretch of road in Hervey Bay.

Three crashes within the space of about 28 hours have impacted the same stretch of road in Hervey Bay.

The first happened at 5am on Tuesday at Torquay at the intersection of Boat Harbour Drive and Tavistock St.

Three patients were assessed by paramedics following that crash, and one person was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.

Then at 7.30am on Wednesday at the same intersection, two men were involved in a two-vehicle crash.

Both men declined ambulance transport to hospital, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said.

Two hours later, at 9.30am on Boat Harbour Drive at Pialba at the intersection of O’Rourke St, another two-vehicle crash occurred, from which a man and woman aged in their 70s were taken to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
