A Hervey Bay hotel has warned its patrons to lift its dress standards or risk being denied entry to the venue.

A post on the Beach House Hotel’s Facebook page announced the new dress standard, which took some punters by surprise.

“We require a neat, fashionable but casual style of dress at all times in the venue,” the post read.

The post said after 8pm, the hotel would not allow workwear of any kind, including steel-capped boots, dirty, stained or otherwise poorly maintained clothing at any time.

Singlets and tank tops were frowned upon, as were thongs or slides, tracksuits, fleeced hoods and hats.

No patches were allowed at the venue, nor lingerie worn as outerwear.

“We do require a higher standard of dress (EFFORT) after these times or ENTRY will not be granted,” the post read.

“If you are already on the premises for the purpose of enjoying a meal in the restaurant or gaming in our gaming lounge, you will be permitted to remain in those locations only.

“Entry will not be granted to other areas of the hotel.

“The hotel policy is enforced for the enjoyment and safety of all our patrons.”

Management at the Beach House Hotel were contacted but declined to comment.

It comes after an OnlyFans star said she was kicked out of the Stradbroke Island Beach Hotel earlier this year for wearing beach attire after security guards told her it was a “family establishment”.

Naomi Tibbles took to social media to detail the incident in which she says she was asked if she had “something to cover yourself” after she stopped into the hotel following a trip to the beach while wearing a bikini, crocheted pants, sandals and a hat.

“I said ‘no, I don’t actually because I’m on a f--king island and I was just at the beach’,” she said in the TikTok video.

Ms Tibbles said she was enjoying a “mental health day” on North Stradbroke Island and was “sweating bullets” after a 3km walk when she decided to stop at the hotel for a drink.

She said she was there for 15-20 minutes before security approached her.

“The first thing the security guard says to me is ‘we have a dress code here, you’re not allowed to wear thongs here’,” she said.
