Another striking photo of the tour bus fire has surfaced

ANOTHER striking photo of the tour bus that caught fire on Fraser Island has surfaced. A bystander sent in the stunning photo of the bus engulfed in flames.

ANOTHER striking photo of the tour bus that caught fire on Fraser Island has surfaced.

A bystander sent in the stunning photo of the bus engulfed in flames.

The 24 passengers onboard were all safely evacuated before the fire took hold.

The visitors were on a Fraser Explorer Tour when the bus caught fire about 1km south of the Maheno shipwreck about 11am on Tuesday.

Fraser Explorer Tours management said the cause of the fire was unknown and a full investigation would be conducted.

The fire was first noticed by the driver who saw smoke coming from the engine and evacuated the passengers.

Group general manager David Hay praised the driver's quick thinking and actions, and said staff members would liaise with passengers involved to organise refunds.
