A man in his 30s has been hospitalised following a collision between a vehicle and an e-scooter in Point Vernon on Saturday night.

The incident occurred at 7pm at the intersection of Corfield St and Kelly St.

Emergency services were called to the scene, where they found the injured man experiencing chest and lower leg pain.

He was assessed by paramedics before being transported in a stable condition to Hervey Bay Hospital.

This incident comes just two months after a similar accident in the Fraser Coast region where a teenager and a child riding an e-scooter were struck by a car at the intersection of Ferry and Walker streets in Maryborough.

Bundaberg has also witnessed two serious e-scooter accidents in recent months.

On April 3, 14-year-old Jakob Lavaring was critically injured while riding his e-scooter and colliding with a car in Walkervale. His family later made the heartbreaking decision to turn off his life support.

On Thursday, a 57-year-old Bundaberg North man was taken to Bundaberg Hospital with serious head injuries after his e-scooter left a footpath and crashed on Quay St.
