Sell-out crowds will have to worry no more about finding a carpark spot, as a theatre on the Coast gains more than 100 additional parking spaces.
The Brolga Theatre and Convention Centre in Maryborough will have 105 carpark spaces added to its 237 existing spaces after works commenced this week.
It comes on the back of full house shows since the theatre reopened, including Carl Barron and Human Nature.
Councillor Paul Truscott said the Brolga Theatre drew “huge audiences” forcing guests to find alternatives to the full carpark.
“Performances and events staged at the Brolga Theatre draw huge audiences with patrons often having to park on the grass as all the current designated car parks are full,” Cr Truscott said.
“The extra 105 car parks will make it easier for everyone to get a parking space and will make getting in and out of the venue cleaner, safer and easier.”
The $780,000 project is expected to be completed by the end of September.
