One dead, three hurt after rollover on Fraser Island
It was a sombre scene as the body of a tourist killed in a crash on Sunday returned from Fraser Island on the barge. Three others were injured after the vehicle they were all in rolled.

IT WAS a sombre scene at River Heads Sunday afternoon as the body of a tourist killed in a crash returned from Fraser Island on the afternoon barge.
Onlookers watched as the funeral director’s car, carrying the body, backed off the boat just after 3pm.

Barge passengers said they had tears in their eyes as they watched the Fraser Island ambulance transfer the body into the funeral car. Returning holiday makers said operators were discrete while loading the car onto the barge.
The man died Sunday morning on Fraser Island after a 4WD rollover at 7.15am.
Another man in his 20s, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.

A person has died and three people have been injured after a car rolled on Fraser Island this morning.
Paramedics were called to the Fraser Island Beach Track at 7.15am to the incident involving four people in a four-wheel-drive.
Initial police investigations indicate the vehicle carrying four international tourists was travelling on 75 Mile Beach at low tide when it lost control.
Two rescue helicopters were tasked, but the driver died at the scene.
One man, aged in his 20s, was seriously injured in the crash, suffered head and abdominal injuries and was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

Two other men, also in their 20s, suffered minor injuries and were flown to Hervey Bay Hospital in stable conditions.
