Cheap airfares are tempting Queenslanders to get travelling again with Virgin releasing international and domestic flights from as low as $45 in a massive sale.

Brisbane residents can escape to the Whitsunday Coast from $59, Hobart from $99 and Bali from $239 as part of Virgin Australia’s post-Covid travel recovery.

The Back to Holidays sale is on now until April 4 with cheap flights from destinations right around Australia – the best bargain being Ballina to Sydney from $45.

A Virgin Australia Group spokesman said the airline was proud to launch the sale on 1.5 million seats.

“As we emerge from Covid, we are incredibly focused on providing travellers with some of the best value airfares you can find and our Back to Holidays sale is a really great example of just how irresistible it is to fly with Virgin Australia,” he said.

“We are also making it even more affordable for families to take their next holiday thanks to a 25 per cent bonus discount on sale fares booked for kids aged between two and 11.

“This is a really attractive offer for families which we know will go a long way in helping them return to travel again.”

The spokesman said the airline was excited about demand returning to the market.

Passenger booking volumes are already tracking above pre-Covid levels and the sale is hoped to provide another healthy boost to travel demand.
