ONE of the world’s largest fashion retailers has announced the launch of a new store at Sunshine Plaza.
H&M, known for its high fashion at affordable prices, is set to open at the Plaza in the first half of next year, The Sunshine Coast Daily reports.
It will be the 10th store to open in Queensland and the first on the Coast.
Sunshine Plaza centre manager Michael Manwaring said securing a retailer like H&M cemented the centre’s position as a leading fashion destination on the Coast.
“We’re thrilled H&M has chosen Sunshine Plaza as the location for their 101h Queensland store,” he said.
“Our customers have told us they want more fashion stores including international brands, so we expect this announcement will create excitement among the community.
“We look forward to introducing a range of exciting new retail experiences to the Sunshine Coast and announcing new retailers in due course.”
The opening is set to create multiple jobs, with the company already advertising for staff.
“We are excited to offer a range of career opportunities at H&M Sunshine Plaza,” a spokesperson said.
The company entered the Australian market in 2014, and now have 31 stores across the country.
