Expect delays: Traffic banks for 10km after car rolls on Bruce Hwy

A crash on the Bruce Highway left two people in hospital and banked-up traffic for 10km.

A crash on the Bruce Highway left two people in hospital and banked up traffic for 10km on Sunday morning.

The southbound crash left one car on its roof and another, which was towing a trailer, down an embankment at Caboolture.

Paramedics were called to the scene about 9.20am near the Pumicestone Rd exit where they treated two people who were in a stable condition.

Clayton’s Towing reported the highway was opening again about 10.30am but traffic was banked back more than 10 km.

The incident was expected to impact already-busy southbound Sunday traffic for hours.

Google at 11.15am was reporting delays of up to 20 minutes on the highway stretch, while congestion was also building on an alternative route through Caboolture.

Transport and Main Roads has also reported congestion in the northbound lanes at Caboolture for drivers heading towards Caloundra.

In a separate incident, a woman in her 20s has been pulled from a car that rolled at Carbrook.

The woman suffered minor injuries in the crash on Mount Cotton Rd and Gramzow Rd about 10.30am.

Paramedics were still on scene at 11.15am.
