Emergency crews called after man shot in back of neck at Chinchilla

Three gunmen are on the run today with a man shot in the back of the neck on a rural Western Downs property fighting for life.

A man has been flown to hospital and police are investigating after a shooting at a property on Queensland’s Western Downs.

Emergency services were called to the property on Rodger St about 1.30 after a confrontation between a man at the address and three others.

Emergency crews were called to a property at Rodger St at Chinchilla about 1.30pm on Tuesday after reports of a disturbance, finding a man shot in the back of the neck.

Police say three people attended the address before confronting the 36-year-old male resident.

They then fled in a silver ute with a white bumper and are still on the run.

The injured man was flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in a serious condition.

On Wednesday, he was in a critical condition in hospital.

Police said there is no active shooter, and have urged anyone with information to contact Policelink on 131 444.
