Ekka tickets up to half price off for three days, with cheap food deals and two-for-one rides

The 2023 Ekka is going on sale, with 30-50 per cent slashed off the regular entry, meal deals and two-for-one rides, meaning a family of four could enjoy a full day out for less than $100. But you’ll have to be quick. SEE THE DETAILS

A discounted ticket sale to the Ekka will go live on Friday, with 50 per cent off entry fees available, as organisers add extra bargains to the show amid cost-of-living pressures.

A limited number of 50 per cent off tickets will be available to those who sign up at ekka.com.au from 12pm Friday til midday on Monday. Those who miss out on the half price tickets will be able to get a 30 per cent discount until Monday.

This year, organisers have also unveiled daily two-for-one rides from 9am to 10.30am every day of the Ekka in the B104 Sideshow Alley and Kids Carnival area.

The new deals come in order to help families enjoy a fun time but at a cheaper price.

Tina White said her kids love the show but cost had always been at the forefront of her mind.

“Cost of living is going up and although kids still want to do fun things you have to be conscious of where you are spending,” she said.

Ms White praised the Ekka organisers for the extra steps taken this year to ensure a cost friendly experience.

“My kids are busting to go to the Ekka,” she said.

“They had a great time last year. With Covid, they wouldn’t remember a thing prior to Covid in terms of Ekka so it’s a whole new experience for them. It’s not something you see every day and my kids love fairy floss.”

RNA chief executive Brendan Christou said they were mindful of the extra costs.

“Rides are a major attraction at the Ekka and for the first time in our 147-year history, visitors will be able to enjoy two for one rides every morning of Show,” Mr Christou said.

“We will also offer four special Super Saver Days of Show – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday – which are 20% cheaper than weekends and the public holiday.

“That means a family of four can come to the Show on a Super Saver Day for about $35 with the 50% discount or just under $50 with the 30% discount – which means a family can come to the Show for less than kids’ prices.”

Mr Christou said the events sector was back in full swing.

“The Ekka will feature all the traditional and unique Show experiences the public know and cherish such as our beloved competitions, animals, rides, showbags, amazing entertainment including the night show and fireworks plus some of the nation’s finest food and wine,” he said.
