Teenager killed in horror crash at Oxenford

A TEENAGER has been killed and six other people injured in a two-vehicle crash north of the Gold Coast.
The crash occurred on Tamborine-Oxenford Rd at Oxenford about 3.30pm on Sunday when a sedan and a utility travelling in opposite directions collided.

The teen was sitting behind the driver of the sedan. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Paramedics rushed the driver of the sedan to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
Two other passengers of the sedan, and all three occupants of the utility suffered non-life-threatening injuries, but were taken to the GCUH for precautionary checks.
Officers have closed off Tamborine Oxenford Rd between Michigan Dr and the roundabout while officers continue with investigation.
The Forensic Crash Unit is on scene.
