A child has been airlifted to hospital after reportedly falling 20m down a waterfall at a popular local attraction near Brisbane.
A rescue operation involving critical care paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service and the rescue chopper was underway on Saturday afternoon after the youngster fell from a waterfall at Cedar Creek in the Samford Valley.
The child, who was flown to the Queensland Children’s Hospital about 90 minutes after the midday fall, was winched to safety by rescue crews.
The youngster miraculously sustained only minor injuries and was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
