An alleged serial thief has been charged with more than 40 offences after police found a $150,000 stash of power tools, bikes, and animals in a storage shed.
The 37-year-old Scarborough man was taken down by police last week in a dramatic arrest where he allegedly tried to run from officers.
Police searched two addresses on May 12 and May 13 and allegedly found seven stolen motorbikes, $150,000 worth of power tools, 11 stolen bicycles, a boat motor, ammunition, and three snakes.
Police will allege the property was stolen from multiple areas across Brisbane, Caboolture and the Sunshine Coast in the last year.
The man has been charged with 48 drug and property offences.
He was remanded in custody and will reappear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on June 11.
Investigations are ongoing and police are seeking public assistance to identify the rightful owners of the remaining items.
