Detectives appeal for couple who assisted a teenage girl to come forward

Sunshine Coast detectives are appealing for two passengers – a male and a female – who were witness to an alleged indecent treatment of a 15-year-old girl on a train north of Brisbane earlier this year.

Sunshine Coast detectives are appealing for two train passengers who were witness to an alleged indecent treatment of a 15-year-old girl in February this year.

On Thursday, February 25, a 15-year-old girl was travelling on a northbound train when a man entered the train at Caboolture station.

Detectives from the Sunshine Coast Child Protection and Investigation Unitare trying to locate a female passenger, and her male companion, who witnessed the alleged incident which occurred around 4.10pm.

It’s reported the woman also assisted the girl at the time.

A 36-year-old man has been charged with one count of indecent treatment of a child under 16.
