Dashcam footage has captured the heart-stopping moment a car crashed at high-speed into another vehicle and ran off a busy motorway.

The video submitted to dashcam Owners Australia on Facebook showed a silver sedan speeding down the M1 at Coomera before clipping the left side of a white car and rolling off the road.

The sedan flipped multiple times before landing upside down, with the white car left uncontrollably spinning on the road.

The post attracted more than 1000 likes and 350 comments within 30 minutes of it being uploaded on Wednesday afternoon.

Both cars were sent out of control after the initial collision.

Many viewers slammed the driver of the grey vehicle for reckless driving.

“How many 360s did that white car do? Far out the car that hit rolled quite a few times and can see bits flying off. Crazy person driving. Hope everyone else innocently involved is doing okay,” one person commented.

“Should be imprisoned. roads aren’t meant to be used for speeding like that,” another person said.

“It’s hard to comprehend that people drive in such a dangerous and stupid manner. Unfortunately such stupidity often leads to innocent people being injured,” a third said.

Others questioned whether Queensland’s laws were to blame for the incident.

”You can thank Queensland’s relaxed bail laws and delinquents just causing havoc daily,” one person commented.

“It’s getting harder and harder to find any sympathy for these teens whenever there’s a crash like this, it’s the innocent people caught up in this that I feel for.

“Laws have to get stricter and sentences enforced.”
