SWIMMING: Juniors from the Dalby Dolphins have cleaned up at the recent Darling Downs Regional Swimming Association Awards Dinner.
Pat Boland, Jake Rynne, Jessika Bliesner and Mitchell Hemmings were all recognised for breaking records at the ceremony on Saturday night.
Lachlan Hemmings was named the 12 and under country distance champion, while Jennifer Nothdurft was crowned the 12 and under regional distance champion.
Jessika Bliesner was also named the 13 years age champion and claimed the 13 years and over country relay title alongside Trent Cuzens, Mitchell Hemmings and Kayla Lawrie.
Queensland water polo player Mitchell Hemmings won both the 13 and over country and regional distance championship, as well as the Veivers Family Award for the Pursuit of Excellence in Swimming.
The 14-year-old was surprised with his honours and was quick to thank his teammates for his success.
"I wasn't really expecting to win so many awards, but it's good,” Mr Hemmings said.
"It gives me confidence training with the group we have, we all train hard together.”
Sarah Hemmings was also awarded Volunteer of the Year and the Dolphins were named A Grade Club Champions.
