A TRUCK lost its back two trailers, spilling tonnes of dirt over Jandowae Rd just outside Dalby on Monday.

Dirt covered both lanes after the back two containers of the vehicle somehow detached, causing them to tip sideways and spill.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services were alerted of the incident just after midday and dispatched two crews to the scene.

Police were also present to assess the situation and controlled traffic around the debris as it was being cleared.

A tractor was brought in to remove the two open aired containers and the fire department used absorbent to clean up hydraulic acid that had leaked from the truck.

The area had finished being cleared by 2.15pm and there was no injuries to report from the incident.
