Police conclude investigation after body found at Ducklo in the Western Downs

Forensic police were dispatched to a remote section of a highway on the Western Downs after a person was found dead.

Emergency Services are responding to reports of a patient that is trapped after a single-vehicle rollover on near the Moonie Highway at Ducklo, in the Western Downs.

Police have concluded their investigation after a body was found in a vehicle on the Moonie Highway about 25km southwest of Dalby.

Firefighters and paramedics were initially called to the grim discovery about 2.35pm out of fears that the person died was injured in a traffic crash.

They have now been stood down.

Police Scenes of Crime officers were called to help.

A QPS spokeswoman said the death was ruled non-suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
