A teenager has been charged after allegedly wielding a knife on a residential Dalby street, while his friend allegedly followed him to the police station and abused police before being nabbed with his own knife.
Police were called to Hunter Street on Monday afternoon after a group of teens were heard fighting on the street.
Senior Sergeant Sean Donaghy said when police arrived they found a 27cm knife on a 16-year-old boy known to police, and he was placed under arrest.
“Another kid followed him to the police station where he abused police in the car park, and yelled calling them, ‘fu--ing c--ts’.”
When searched at the station, the second 16-year-old, was allegedly also found with a knife.
Sergeant Donaghy said the first boy was charged with possessing a knife in public and is set to face Dalby Children’s Court on October 10.
The second child was given two cautions for public nuisance and possessing a knife in public.
