Police seek information following terrifying break and enter in Miles

Police are seeking information after reports three offenders broke into a home in Miles and injured the 72-year old resident.

Police are appealing for information following an alleged burglary in Miles on Tuesday night which left a 72-year old man with injuries.

Initial investigations indicate that around 7.30pm, three people forced entry into an Eleanor St residence and an altercation occurred between the offenders and the two occupants of the home.

A 72-year-old man was transported to Miles Hospital with minor injuries to his head and wrist while a 72-year-old woman was physically uninjured.

The offenders left the scene empty-handed.

They are described as male, tall, skinny, wearing all black with face masks and hats.

Police are appealing to anyone with further information or footage from the area at the time of the incident, to come forward.

Investigations are continuing.
