Fireys, police called to vehicle fire in suburban Dalby street
Footage of a fierce fire, which destroyed a van in a southwest Queensland street, has emerged as the cause of the blaze is investigated.

Dalby residents received a rude awakening as sirens and smoke filled the air after a van caught fire on quiet suburban street.
Emergency services were called to Charles St just after 10pm.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said two crews arrived shortly after to find the vehicle on fire.
It’s understood the vehicle was a Hyundai iMax people mover.
One firefighter suited up with a breathing apparatus to check the vehicle, however it’s understood nobody was inside.
A Queensland Ambulance Spokeswoman said paramedics checked a teenage boy who “was in distress” but didn’t need to be taken to hospital.
The QFD spokeswoman said firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze quickly and remained on scene dampening down until just before midnight.
Police also attended the scene.
Investigations into the cause of the fire are continuing.
