Dalby police intercept alleged drug drivers, speedsters on Warrego Highway
Even in the lead up to Fatality Free Friday, Dalby police were able to apprehend a semi-trailer driver behind the wheel allegedly on drugs, and a Warrego Highway speedster.

As Fatality Free Friday approaches, drivers are being urged to not undertake dangerous behaviour as several drivers were apprehended by Dalby police.
Drug driving
A 47-year-old Dalby man was intercepted driving along Black Street by police about 9.20pm on May 21, for a random drug test.
It’s alleged the man, who was driving a semi-trailer at the time, returned a positive reading for a relevant drug.
A day earlier about 8pm, Dalby police intercepted a 47-year-old Dalby woman on Nicholson street.
She submitted for a random drug test roadside, and allegedly returned a positive reading for a relevant drug.
Both drivers will appear in Dalby Magistrates Court at a later date.
Speeding
A 22-year-old Brigalow woman who was caught driving more than 140km/h on the Warrego Highway was alleged to have been overtaking trucks.
Police clocked the young woman at 146km/h in a 100km/h zone on May 21, and was swiftly intercepted.
She was given a $1245 fine, and lost her licence for six months.
