Police were forced to break up an alleged brawl involving up to 12 people.

Dalby police allege they were forced to use capsicum spray on multiple people due to the sheer amount of people involved in a dramatic disturbance over the weekend.

A police spokesman said at least 12 people can be seen on body-worn camera footage fighting on the corner of Myall and Patrick streets at 2am Sunday morning.

“Police were forced to use capsicum spray in relation to the group being hostile towards police,” the spokesman said.

It is unknown what caused the fight to break out.

Three people were arrested and released on bail however investigations continue as officers look for the others involved.

“Due to the sheer number of people involved, there weren’t enough officers to arrest all of them,” the spokesman said.

Two males, 34 and 28, were arrested as well as a 31-year-old female.

The spokesman said the charges for each individual were not yet finalised but included public nuisance, common assault and obstruct police.

The three people charged are expected to face Dalby Magistrates Court on January 10, 2023.
