A Tara pair charged with a total 148 animal welfare offences have been told three more charges will be added to their growing list of allegations, causing a woman to erupt into a rage and call an RSPCA prosecutor “scum”.

Angeline Ivkovic, 46, and Michael James Doody, 54, faced Dalby Magistrates Court on Tuesday, each accused of committing dozens of animal welfare offences against dogs.

Ms Ivkovic’s 74 charges included 36 counts of failing to take reasonable steps to provide for the animal’s needs for displaying normal patterns of behaviour in a way that is appropriate, and 32 counts of failing to provide appropriate accommodation or living conditions.

Mr Doody was charged with 74 similar offences, including 31 charges of failing to provide appropriate accommodation or living conditions, failing to provide food and water, and failing to comply with compulsory code requirement for the breeding of dogs.

RSPCA prosecutor SJ Smith noted the pair had each been issued with three further charges of supplying an animal for use in a prohibited offence, which she said had been sent to Ms Ivkovic and Mr Doody via post on October 11.

Ms Ivkovic told the court they had not yet received the charges.

On hearing further charges were being added to the list, Ms Ivkovic broke down in tears, yelling “You can’t do his to me. Why are you doing this to me? I hate you so much, you are scum.”

Magistrate Kerrie O’Callaghan allowed her to be escorted out of the courtroom by Mr Doody.

In a previous court appearance, Ms Ivkovic sensationally accused the RSPCA or being cruel to her dogs and claimed the charges against her were “extremely vexatious”.

The matter was adjourned and is due to return to the court on November 9.
