Man flown to Toowoomba Hospital after Western Downs crash

A man in his 20s was flown to Toowoomba Hospital with neck pain after his car rolled on a remote road in the Western Downs.

A man in his 20s was flown to Toowoomba Hospital after his car rolled on a remote road in South West Queensland.

Emergency services were called to the incident on the intersection of Surat Development Rd and the Moonie Highway at Marmadua, about 8.37pm on Sunday night.

Four Queensland Fire Department crews arrived on scene at 9.05pm, and quickly worked to free the man who was trapped in the upside-down car, a QFD spokesman said.

The man was freed by 9.10pm.

Paramedics assessed the man, who reported he had neck pain after the crash, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said.

The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight helicopter was tasked to the incident, and flew the man to Toowoomba Hospital, a LifeFlight spokesman said.

Police were investigating the cause of the crash, a Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said.
