The 2022 Dalby Show has drawn increasingly large crowds on a fun-filled first day, with the community overcoming the devastating floods earlier this week to pull off a successful event.

The Dalby District and Show Society have fought against all odds to bring the annual event to the community again this year, only days after pavilions at the Showgrounds were being used as evacuation centres for flood victims.

While beloved Show favourites such as livestock competitions and sheep dog trials were either cancelled or postponed due to the extreme weather, stallholders have said they were surprised by the number of people still coming through.
