Dalby experienced a short bout of rain yesterday amid a dry spell.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Rosa Hoff said some light storms and isolated showers passed through Queensland yesterday.
"Most of these storms didn't pass through the centre of Dalby but some of our gauges received up to 6mm," she said.
The BOM reported 3.2mm at the Dalby Airport.
"They were thanks to an inland trough that very briefly moved east towards the coast.
"That trough retreated very quickly back toward the west."
Average rainfall for Dalby is 38.9mm for May but only 3.4mm has officially been recorded.
The rest of May is expected to be dry with very little rain forecast over the coming weeks.
No rain is expected for the rest of the week but there is a 20% chance next Thursday, according to the BOM website.
"We're going to have a fairly sunny weekend for Dalby," Ms Hoff said.
"We'll see fairly light winds although we're expecting winds to pick up a bit later on Saturday."
