DIEHARDS president Tom Kelly has had a history with the club spanning a few decades.

He, better than anyone, knows what makes the Diehards tick - it was these traits that were celebrated on Saturday night at the Diehards annual presentation banquet, hosted by the Dalby Leagues club.

"It doesn't matter what sport you're in, everyone embraces the cultural leadership you've got in creating the club,” he said.

"It's their club and at the end of the day we as administrators try to run it the way they want it to be run, with a professional stance on it.

"At the end of the day, you try and run a club the way they want it.”

The banquet celebrated the outstanding achievements of players on the field, as well as those who exemplified the values of the Diehards club.

While the banquet did mark the end of season, the president said as far as administration goes, the footy season would continue until the players hit the field again.

"This season has ended but as one season ends another one starts so it's probably good to wrap up one season so we can focus on the next one,” Mr Kelly said.

Also celebrated over the weekend were the under-14s and under-18s who took out the premierships for their respective age groups.

Teams, coaches, and supporters rallied around the teams on Friday night as they paraded through Dalby Leagues Club to be congratulated for their achievements.
